La Cueva de los Verdes (The Green Caves)

This is a large volcanic cave passage, which was formed by the prehistoric eruptions of the Corona crater, which dominates the landscape in the north of the island. This passage is approx. 10km long and finishes below sea level.

A part of this is accessible to visitors with passageways, terraces & botanical parks with restaurants & bars. Amongst other things there is a theatre with seating for 1,000 persons within the volcanic cavern which is quite unique.

Once entering the caves you will come out into a man made Paradise Island, which is built, within the mountain. You will also see the rare 'Albino Crabs'.
