La Cueva: Green Caves
La Cueva de los Verdes is a truly incredible piece of natural architecture, formed by the eruption of the volcano Monte de la Corona some five thousand years ago. It is also one of the longest volcanic galleries in the world (6 km long).
Guided tours are available on most days from 10 am.
Timanfaya National Park
Timanfaya (which means 'Fire Mountain') defines Lanzarote in so many ways, being responsible for the formation of much of the terrain on the South of the island following its last major eruption in the 18th Century. It is a must-see trip during anyone's visit to Lanzarote.
